My final thing came in last week, and I've been waiting on it for three weeks. Funny thing, it was my credit union statement on interest paid on my accounts. Everything else was here lickity split, but my credit union was the one dragging their feet.

I guess it depends on the grade of syrup being used. Is it the lower grades that have real deep maple flavor to them that only the locals want or is it the fancy grade A crap that the tourists all buy?

Ya up here there's just an automatic withholding on dividends and capital gains of 10-15% on US stocks, whether I bought them on the TSX with CAD or directly on the NASAQ/NYSE using USD.

Makes filing taxes easy, you just declare a line for US gains/losses to the CRA, but it's not super fun paying taxes to two countries when you really think about it That said, I still have a large portion of my portfolio in the US because there are so many more stocks to play with.

Nice, I finally got my 5 pack of putters in. I was expecting it yesterday then got pissed off when I tried tracking it and USPS basically said my package was in limbo, couldnt tell me where it was or when it would arrive...so I check today and it says delivered

It was difficult to try and figure out what I wanted, so I picked something under-stable and shied away from ordering a bunch at first just bc I wasnt sure if I'd like it....well yeah, then we start crossing over into it being like trying to throw darts and every one of your darts is different Throwing in my buddy's garage and with this hodge podge of over stable, flat, under stable....fkn throwing discs all over the damned garage

It was good throwing with those other guys sunday, learned a ton just watching those guys. You dont need to try and throw 9000 miles an hour, the biggest key is the whip you put on it. Just like skipping stones on the water, as long as the fucker's spinning and has a little forward momentum, its staying up. I definitely need to develop that forehand flick maneuver, those guys employed it far too well, it is a must have for the game.
