For whatever purpose it serves. Content, cord cutting... my LG TV does the app/content streaming thing, but there's things it can't get that the Roku has. Amazon has the Ultra version on sale for $70 (not a prime day deal, I think they're just competing with everybody else that has it on sale). Is it worth it? I don't want the Fire TV junk... I don't like the idea of Amazon spying on me.

If you want 4K content and need Atmos and DTS-X audio a huge NO, buy a Nvidia Shield or Apple TV 4k. If you dont care nor need it then go for it.

We have four Roku's at home, they rock and they have one's that play 4K.

And the one we have in the living room has a USB port so I can plus in my HDD full of movies I still have from the downloading days and can play them thru my Roku.
Is the Ultra at $70 a good deal, or should I go with the streaming stick+ @$43?

I just bought a referbed Amazon 4K FireTV box for 40 bucks
It's a good deal, it retails for $99 and that's a better deal than I got when Best Buy was selling them on sale for $79. This one is the top of the line, you can hardwire it into your network or go wireless, it has the USB port and can do 4K. It's totally up to you depending on what you want it to be able to do. Plus this one (the Ultra) comes with the headphones that plug into the remote.

Ok, my final order from Amazon was placed. I bought replacement filters and wipers for my car (believe it or not, one of the wipers had a prime day discount. Go figure). I spent way too much money this month, so I've got to stop now. I'm done.

I think I've said it before, but when your work iPhone is in you pocket, and it turns off due to overheating, but you're still working, it's too damned hot!!

So crazy, Arapahoe Ski Resort was open again last weekend for skiing. Only on the more remote trails, but still, skiing in the middle of July. Haven't heard if they are going to be open again this weekend, but probably not with as hot as it's been/going to be this week.
Wild. Is that a glacier? Whistler, BC is open for skiing the glacier almost all year, but you've got to hike because it's a far higher elevation than the actual chairlifts go.
