They gave him some clot busting agents and his CT scan apparently didn't show anything so no large clots, but he's not able to speak right now. The doctor said they expect he'll be fine and his speech should return in a day or two, but definitely scary.
    Godspeed.

Wishing the best for your uncle GF and hoping for a speedy recovery.
my former brother-in-law had a stroke at 32 when in the shower. ambulance was called to get him and the treatment at the hospital they gave him to break up the clot lead to a massive brain bleed and he died (sister chose to pull plug on his brain dead body instead of leaving him 'alive'), happened labor day weekend when my nephew was starting first grade. very scary stuff

Back from a few days at a friend's cabin. So nice to unplug. We actually went and looked at a little cabin down the road from my friend's place with a realtor but prices are just so nuts for everything right now. Think we'll wait.

Sit tight, wait for the crash and foreclosures.

You'll be fine The omnicorn strain is no worse than a mild to medium case of the flu. When I had it, I was fairly sick for about 3 days, the rest of the time was just the stupid cough and congestion that took awhile to go away. Took about 2-ish weeks for the final symptoms to finally clear up completely.

Well, missing Pepper was hard on the wife, and at first she wanted no part of getting another dog, and then over the last few days she had changed her mind and had her heart set on getting another dog. It really doesn't bother me either way, I would have been happy waiting or I would have been fine with getting another dog. I just want her to be happy. So, she had found some Great Danes on a FB group at a breeder where her friends got a dog from. Great breeders and great reputation, so no issues there. The puppies they had were being 'discounted' because they were getting older, so that's where we went yesterday. She doesn't have a name yet, but she's almost 4 months old, so she's already started growing and is pretty decent sized. I would guess she's probably between 40 and 50 lbs from picking her up to get her in the car. Only got one pic so far, but hopefully we'll have more to share.
