I've got two days left to take advantage of this $70 off deal on this laptop. Instead of it being $499, it'll be $429. But only until Sunday. Here's the kicker: Do I need it? Sure, I'd like to have two separate computers running two different OSes, and I can very easily set up Linux on the Monster Rig. I could maybe set up Linux easily on the laptop... it really depends on the device drivers available for all of the hardware modules, which can be a royal pain in the ass to hunt down sometimes. But would I really buy a preloaded Win10 laptop just to wipe the drive for Linux? Probably not. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. So it pretty much looks like that if I do do this, I'll be keeping the Win 10 OS on the laptop and making the Monster Rig a dedicated Linux machine.
Now, do I want to spend the money right now? I really need to do some car maintenance, so that's a primary priority. Plus, I'm seriously thinking about making my first firearm purchase very soon. Also, I've got some birthdays in October to take care of, November brings car insurance, I may have some medical bills coming, and Christmas is coming. I'm not hurting for cash, but I am kinda swamped on the future money front.
What to do?
