Trump is not separating children from their parents at the border as a matter of executive policy. It's the law that he's enforcing. It's been law since the 90s. Congress penned it and Bill Clinton signed it into law. Trump is just enforcing the law as it's written, the way it's been written for the past 20+ years. Which is exactly what he's supposed to do. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised about the media inequality. Obama got in office and did the same junk that Bush did. Hell, in some cases, Obama went further than Bush ever did. The media ripped Bush apart for it, but pretty much treated Obama like he pulled the sword from the stone.
