Sounds like the girlfriend of one of them slipped or got caught in a pool midway on the falls, and the other two went over trying to save her while their other friends watched it happen.
They were instagram celebrities who did stupid shit like play near waterfalls for views/likes... can't say I was close with them since they took that path, in fact I was critical of them for trying to live this off-the-grid and wreckless lifestyle, but they died doing what made them happy and trying to protect one of their girlfriends and were only 30, there's some honor in that I suppose.
I suppose that I should be glad that it wasn't worse. I wasn't even going to get my oil changed today, so if I had waited like I originally intended, then maybe something avoidable would have gone wrong.

The last thing I bought thread.
I was following somebody to a Honda service center because one of their dash lights calling for service was on. I have AAA so if they broke down, I'd be able to get them a tow. I needed to get my car's oil changed, but I figured I'd put it off until August. When I was in there, I mentioned it in passing, and the service representative said they could squeeze me in without an appointment, so I said "ok, go ahead". They came back to me with a list of shit that had to be done. I didn't realize I needed some fluids changed aside from the oil, so it just kinda snuck up on me.
