Just got off the phone with someone looking to get machining work done....goes thru the whole BS of what he needs, wants a price on the phone. I tell him I can't do anything without a CAD file or seeing the parts first. Then he asks where we are and I give him the cross streets so he can map it out. He sounds confused when I tell him the cross streets so he names off a couple of towns where he thinks we are. I correct him and tell him the city we are in. Then he asks me what state we are in.
So I tell him Colorado and he says oh, I was looking for someone local and hangs up.

I love it when you call a support line and you explain exactly where you are, what the problem is and what you need. Did he not think that the 303 area code for metro Denver seemed odd if he was looking for a local shop? I actually have to absorb a lot of info in different forms at my job, sometimes 16 things happen at once...that could have been handled much better if someone stopped to think for 60 seconds
