I just use it because I never change it on time, if you're gonna use the cheap stuff I'd definitely get it changed more often. A few bucks to get it changed a couple times a year is nothing compared to the cost of a new motor or a new car.Oil does break down and become less effective over time plus just adding some doesn't help because the filter could still be clogged.
