The ultimate British dilemma/stand off - 3 cars at a roundabout - who to go first? Like rock paper scissors...
Pm?
The prescription is $114 and my copay is $100? That's insurance? Why don't they just have the balls to say "fuck you," because that's what they mean.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.
Fuck this. I've had enough. I don't need to slaughter the damn final exam, I earned my A by answering the first 4 questions. I'm done. I'm just gonna relax for the rest of the day and watch football.

one of the few things on this topic that Deep was absolutely spot on about - this is *not* fkn insurance. this is "healthcare financing." because it disobeys pretty much every tenet of what insurance actually is. (and where we all knew deep's logic failed completely was that he wanted us to go all in on single payer healthcare finance, and still call it insurance, yet quietly acknowledge it was no such thing. whereas the rest of us with sane classical American values would rather us see a return to actual healthcare insurance, and to hell with the healthcare finance racket altogether.)
there's an esoterically relevant reason why they replaced the Rod of Asclepius with the Caduceus.
In Roman iconography it was often depicted being carried in the left hand of Mercury, the messenger of the gods, guide of the dead and protector of merchants, shepherds, gamblers, liars, and thieves.
The original Hippocratic Oath began with the invocation "I swear by Apollo the Physician and by Asclepius and by Hygieia and Panacea and by all the gods ..."
Asclepius is the god of health, healing, and medicine.
Hermes is the guy that shows up and gives you the bad news.
Coincidence?

I took my first stab at making a pie this weekend. I can't find good apple pie anywhere and I can always remember how good my mom's apple pie was when she made, so I gave it a try....
And I have to say other than looking a bit rough around the edges, it came out pretty damn good for my first attempt.
