Yeah, my old wiring has that woven insulation. Getting rid of it room by room.

iirc Mom's was built in the 40's. It still has the woven insulators on the wires running through the attic. One wire for line, one for neutral, and no ground. Dunno yet if any run horizontal through the walls. I've got a fishtape so verticals won't be too bad, just waiting on the weather to cool off some, and for a good night on a weekend to change out the breaker panel outside.
