When the kids are out of school this summer I'm going to leave every Friday at 3:00 and come back in to work at 10:00 on Monday mornings..

I am dreading summer....my neighborhood is filled with worthless parents that let their kids stay outside late screaming and yelling and swearing....and none of these kids are over the age of 15 or 16.

Yeah that sucks.. I escape that from Richmond on the weekends only to go to the river and hear the kids ride the golf carts all night long with radios and yelling on them... Fuck it, drink more beer!

Also - it's been raining now for a week straight, it's not a surprise that it's wet outside and it's just water, but there are people out there driving like they are on a 3" sheet of ice FFS

as usual, just calling balls and strikes, and it becomes harder to see if its a ball or a strike when you're on top of a building 1200 feet away from the plate, rbp. and as usual, the peanut gallery claps in unison on general principle, sitting next to you on top of that building.

you agree with me then disagree with me because it cant be that economic pain causes general misery, I mean its not like we see that is most classes of folks these days, right? take the blinders off.

Of the many people I fired over the years, this one stood out. I fired him for attendance. He was pissed.

Him: "who fires someone for getting a flat tire on the way to work?"
Me: "You knew this was coming. You didn't get fired for a flat tire, you got fired for all the days you skipped work to go windsurfing that left you no more allowed days off in case you had a flat tire."

Previous conversation:

Me: "You're getting yourself in trouble by skipping work to go windsurfing. If you miss any more days you're going to lose your job. Do you understand?"
Him: "Those are your rules. And if your rules don't accommodate my life, that's not my problem."
Me: "Then there's nothing else I can do to assist you. If you miss another day, your employment will be terminated. Best of luck."
