I don't think Hillary is electable anyway, that's why I wanted to win in 2008. But I don't think it matters this time. The left is disillusioned (won't show) and the right is pissed off (will be motivated to vote).

American politics is highly cyclical. We swing right, correct left. We swing left, correct right. We've swung pretty far left... there was a correction in the midterms, but they haven't changed much, so the big correction is 2016.

Went with the g/f and the kid up into the mountains yesterday to get away from the city and the heat for awhile. We went up to ride the Georgetown Loop Railroad in old silver mining country. Took a tour of an old silver mine as well. Twas a great time, lots of history up there, and especially hearing about the conditions the miners worked in and what they went thru. Makes you appreciate how easy we truly do have it nowadays.

Yeah, we never go up into the mountains nearly enough considering how close they really are. Georgetown and Silver Plume (the two towns the railroad runs between) are only about 50 miles away from where we live in the city, so it's not very far away at all to get to see some really historic stuff. Plus, it's so pretty up there and just getting away from the city for awhile makes it worth the trip.

It's good to be back home...I traveled to another part of the internet, got totally flamed and now I'm home. My sister and her hubby are also visiting us right now. And it's been nice and hot the past few days. I am a native Indian now.
