    Thanks buddy!

Damn, good to hear you left that job, I always got the impression that you were pretty done with it. Hope something comes up for you soon though. I know times are tough in Alberta right now.

Oh yes us conservatives now meet once a week at an undisclosed location (after giving the secret handshake) and we weep softly while holding each other looking at old pictures of oil rigs

Ya my best bud's dad is also a geomorphologist was laid off pretty damn quick. It's kind of impressive and horrifying how fast the Oil companies in AB know to start to cut the fat to stay alive when the economy turns. Other industries going through tough times hold on until it's too late... Oil companies have seen this before and know how to weather a fucking storm

Fuck no I didn't vote Pretty Boy. Harper scares me too though, he's a sketchy character. Truth be told I was really hoping for a Minority government. I was less concern who won, just didn't want either Harper or Trudeau with all that power. Oh well... we'll have to cross our fingers now.

A coworker of mine in our Alberta office calls me quite frequently to bitch. Her last comment was "In six god damn months, the NDP has done nothing except take out a $6 million loan"

Yeah the NDP's think stimulating the economy means borrowing for three years and hoping things magically level in the final year

and don't get me started on Trudeau and the liberals....I was old enough to remember how his father drove us 10 billion in debt and then fucked off into the sunset...

*I saw Harper going to his Calgary home after the election with his group of thugs...fuck me he's a Stepford Wife looking mutherfucker in person Waving with that frozen smile...

Yep this Federal election was a 'lesser of two evils' kind of deal. The one thing Trudeau has going for him is that he's surrounded himself with very smart people. But if you didn't like his father I can't see liking his son. Whether or not you agreed with his leadership, Pierre Trudeau was probably one of the most intelligent (at least on paper) PM's we've had. His son has but a shadow of his father's mental capacity, and he's not half the orator either.

That has always bothered me about elder Trudeau..he was a very intelligent man

Did you hear about one of the NDP platform promises? Get the minimum wage raised to 15/hour by 2018....hmm that's exactly three years from now and should take effect as they're getting booted out the door How about getting the 20000 or so jobs back in the oil sector and then worrying about standard of living for everyone else?

I should stop...politics are not my thing

Good lord I'm full... went to father-in-law's for dinner. He's quite unwell and doesn't know what will sit well in his stomach till he tries it. So he ordered 8 dishes from the thai food place for three of us I did my best to leave a mark but now I'm hurting.

Come down off your throne and leave your body alone
    Somebody must change
You are the reason I've been waiting so long
    Somebody holds the key

Well, I'm near the end and I just ain't got the time
And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home

I'd like to know why Geico is jacking up my insurance rate when there's less than 50k miles on this car, it's in damn good condition, and I haven't had an accident at all since 2008 (and it wasn't even my fault).

Shop around dude, I was with State farm forever and they kept creeping my rates up higher and higher. I switched to Allstate and saved nearly $100/month on my car insurance
