Yes and no...we knew that the when we were there on Sunday that he wasn't really himself, even more so than usual. It was in fact a pretty uncomfortable visit. But, at the end of the visit when we were ready to leave, he kind of 'snapped back' for a few minutes and I got to tell him that I loved him and that's when he told me that he loved me too. And of course we said we'd be back to see him soon. But then yesterday before I left work, I got a call from the nursing home and they said he had deteriorated pretty rapidly yesterday and that they were sure that he didn't have too much longer, they just weren't how sure, but they told me to be prepared for the news as It could happen almost any time. Before we had a chance to plan a visit yesterday evening, I got the call from the nursing home that they said would be coming. He passed last evening just after 6 PM.

nah, the sonomabitchin van busted out the top seam of the radiator halfway to nyc...and we just happened to be at the exit for the train station, so we hopped a train with minimal gear, went and played nyc, hopped a thousand friggin trains, walked way too long, train back to the van, was 3:30 by the time we got there, so nappy time for everyone. cept me, my back would have gotten out of whack from sleeping in that captains chair in the van, so I kept awareness the rest of the night and meditated from 3:30-7am.....then we patched it with some metal epoxy that a friend gave us at the show, found a dunkin while it cured for an hour.....and it busted again pulling up my street....we were shocked it got us all the way home. fuggin whack night, man!
