I've been buying guns on a 6+ month schedule. I think I'm about over 6 months to a year since I've bought the M&P9C. It was 6 months before that when I bought the full size M&P9. I still want to get a shotgun but I guess it can wait a while.

I keep meaning to get my CCL. I've had the money put away in a side compartment in my wallet for the past year and a half now, but I've been too lazy to get up to the County Probate Court to apply for it.

We don't have a local range open to the general public here. There's one dedicated to LE and Mil, but the rest of us regular folk have to drive to the next county over to get to one that we can use. It's a pain in the ass. People have been screaming at the county commissioners for years about it. They keep talking and talking but they never do anything about it. There was a write up in the local paper last week about the county commissioners talking about opening the local range up to the rest of us but we'll see how that goes. They've said it before a while back and nothing happened.

Here for the CCL we need to take an 8 hour course (6hr classroom/2 hours shooting) before applying with the sheriffs dept. Many places offer the class but not too many have both the classroom and range on site. A coworker did a groupon for the class in Feb, they forgot to tell everyone the shooting part was at an outdoor range 15 miles away. Some of them froze their asses off.

As far as ranges go there's one close to work that's indoor (handgun only) and there are a couple outdoor ranges within 30 minutes. Having an indoor range that handles both pistol and rifle so close to home will be nice in the wintertime. During the summer I have a few places I can shoot regularly up on the island. Might actually do a little target practice this weekend.

There's no training requirement for the GWL in GA, if you're 21 and above. 18 to 20 year olds have to take a training class, unless they're military. I don't know about any time requirements for the class or what's involved in it regarding instruction and shooting. If it's anything like the state required driver's ed. class that I took back when I was 16, then it's probably a joke. I think most gun owners in GA have been handling guns since they were kids and their parents probably taught them better than any gun instructor ever could. Apparently the GA state legislature understands that. That's just the way things are down here. My neighbor's kids have both been handling guns since they were 8 years old, and their youngest daughter (now 20) is a sharpshooter. I wouldn't want to get into a gunfight with her, she's wicked fast and incredibly accurate.

Are dental hygienists really torturers in training?

I don't recall ever having a bad one, but I suppose they could be. My dental hygienist is really good. But I suppose my dentist wouldn't tolerate a bad one to begin with. She likes things to be light and cheerful in her office.

I think that the dentist office that I go to is kind of like a 'training facility' for hygienists because they are always different all the time. The office is shared by 5 different dentists and there are quite a few hygienists on staff there all the time.

A training facility for hygienists? I'm not so sure about that. I'm pretty sure that hygienists enroll in a dental program at some kind of dental school or a university that has a dental program there. I'm not sure about clinical internships or anything like that. I'm pretty sure everything is handled in-house at the program facility (independent dental school or university program).

What kind of reviews has your dentist's office gotten online?

That doesn't exactly tell me that they're well-regarded by the general public, Lance.

I mean, don't get me wrong, if you like the dentist that you see, then that's cool. I love my dentist. I think she's as cool as cool can be. I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, that's how awesome my dentist is. But her entire office is awesome too. Seriously, I love everybody in that office. And I'm kind of hard to warm up to people initially, so they had to earn it. And they did, rather quickly. My hygienist too. She rocks.

Maybe you should ask your dentist about the hygienist situation in their office.

I'm so frickin bored. Got two cars I'm waiting for the paint work to be finished on, assemble them and I'm done til tues. The way things are looking though the second car wont be done til well after lunch.
