Welp, the place I was buying all my dog food from (chewy.com) has now started collecting state AND local sales tax. Still, they have better prices than every local retailer and free shipping, so I order it and it shows up on my doorstep 2 to 3 days later, so the convenience is worth it still.

I looked at my account, been buying from them since 2013. I don't even remember how I found them now, but they have saved me a lot of money in those 4 years.

Most of the stuff they ship to me comes from Dallas, and it's usually here in 2 days, it all depends on when I place my order, but it's never more than 3 days.

As far as the taxes go, the only reason online retailers are collecting tax now is because states have been trying to strong arm them into collecting it because the states can't keep their spending under control and were whining about all the tax money they were losing to the online retailers.
