    Uh huh. Fucking 1%-ers.

This started because i hung stockings and lights. I didn't realize that such a nicety would start a chain reaction?!? Well now we have lights and stockings, that means we need Christmas activities and stocking stuffers... do you think new boots would fit in a stocking?

    what the fuck?

Slow your roll there, this isn't nuclear physics.

Amazing....every democrat and nearly ever celebrity in Hollywood is bitching about the tax reform bill that will be voted on again and passed by the House today and be on the President's desk before the end of the week. All moaning and crying how the republicans are 'forcing' the bill down everyone's throat and that it's not right and blah, blah, blah....funny that they have all seemed to have forgotten about Obamacare and how it was 'forced down everyone's throat' because the democrats had all the pieces needed to pass it without ANY republican support.

On a similar note, I wear through shoes, doesn't matter how expensive or cheap - so no real point in expensive shoes. And I am clumsy sometimes. The fiance said she is going to buy me new boots.

me: "but I haven't fallen in like a week"

I find different brands of shoes seem to last longer for me than others, it's weird.

    Definitely.

Aldo is shit... those stores are everywhere up here (I'm sure you guys have lots there too) but I find them to be the most overrated/overpriced trash shoes that don't last. Any 'brand' shoes are bad too... companies that don't make shoes first and foremost. I bought a pair of Polo shoes once that started falling apart in a few weeks.

For me, I've found that when I'm buying basically any kind of sneaker type shoe, if I buy Reebok, they last me nearly forever. If I buy Nike, they wear out in 6 months. Same thing when I buy steel toe work boots. I used to buy nothing but Wolverine because they were comfortable and lasted forever. Now I can't even get a 6 months out of them before they start falling apart. I've switched to Caterpillar work boots and these things are rock solid and last forever.

And yeah, as for those 'brand' shoes, that's a lot of what Payless Shoes sells down here. They are less expensive but boy do you get what you pay for.

I've got an old pair of classic Sperry's boat shoes that are beat to hell, I only wear them in the summer. They look good when they're really worn in IMO!

The local news last night showed people stealing packages from front doors and called them "Porch Pirates".

I won't admit my commentary nor her response. Suffice it to say it ended with "well, they could have chosen a better term".
