Dr Oetker has got the best tasting crust hands down. Like I mentioned, they have a ton of sub-brands up here so I'm sure I'll find a good one similar to what your wife liked

I found out that any sort of rising crust pizza is just code for more dough, less toppings and the pizzas aren't really any bigger or better. Normal - about 300 grams, rising crust 800-900 grams.

I definitely don't like the rising crust stuff either, like you said too much dough. If I wanted to chew on a loaf of bread, that's what I'd do

I was going to link you to my Superstore site but it's location based and probably will keep asking for your postal code to list products.

Dr Oetker has Casa di Mama, Ristorante (two tiers within that one), Giuseppe and mini pizzas. The Giuseppe look good but they are 4.98

I know one day I'll lose my mind, buy about 6 pounds of shredded mozzarella, buy a whole bunch of precut deli meat, mushrooms...and load up one of those fckers the way I like it.

But then I'm probably getting into the same price territory as the real take out pizza, so why not give them a call instead?

Actually GF linked me to this cooking site called Budget Bytes where this chick cooks real meals on the cheap.

She has a recipe for pizza dough and it works out to .59 cents for the recipe, .30 cents per pizza.

Then I looked at her pizza recipes etc and they look like work

Not a promotional pic by the restaurant, just a real time photo by a guy sitting at Spiros Feb/2017.

This is a two topper...can you imagine one loaded?

picture may not convey it, but there's a reason the pizzas are 21 bucks

Definitely looks like work, I am happy just pilling it out of the box and putting it in the oven

This is from a place called Vern's Pizza, which I've eaten at. They're known for putting more meat than cheese on the pizzas

It's an acquired taste for sure, but when the inner Caveman says - I need meat! You order the monstrosity called the T-Rex

They only have medium, large and Xtra large on the menu. Something about not ever offering a small, because small doesn't exist

Way too expensive and they have the rep for that...but I've never been able to eat more than four pieces at one sitting.

As a comparison, at work when we did inventories on the weekend they would buy us some sort of cheapo chain pizza. I set the company record one Saturday by eating 11 pieces of pizza.

    Sunday wasn't a good day

After this convo, I may just cook two of the frozen ones, flip one over on top of the other and have a semi-decent sandwich

It's much better if you cook it.
