I've thought about getting a security camera or two for out front of my place because I worry about this all the time. Doesn't help that UPS and FedEx make absolutely no attempt to even try and hide the package a little. It's always sitting right there in the middle of the steps when I get home.

That's what really pisses me off. I have a big patio at my front door, with a wide alcove right beside it. If they'd put it just a foot right of the door you'd never see anything walking by from the street. How hard is that to do? Do I need a fucking doormat with an arrow for the delivery person to place packages in the alcove? I thought common sense would be enough.

Put a sign up that says "Packages in alcove, please". Then you can have hours of video of delivery drivers saying "what the fuck is an alcove" and leaving them in the same spot as now.

I'd wager that some of the scumbags they have delivering these packages aren't either 1. stealing them themselves or 2. alerting a 3rd party that there is an unattended package on the front porch in a house without a camera!!!! Stick a fucking dummy camera dome on the front of the house for $5.00 at the very least.

Or they just follow the trucks. But likely a neighbor, honestly. Richie Rich with the alcove can afford a RING video doorbell and talk to the driver if he wishes. You can also leave delivery instructions in most orders.
