We got new laptops at work today, with docking stations. My one female coworker was asking how they worked so I explained, then finished by telling her to be careful of the eject button she asked about. I told her it ejected it a good 4-5 feet in the air. She goes "damn, thanks for warning me" and walked away

WTF is wrong with kids today? It's spring break in the school district here and on Monday afternoon (middle of the freaking day) someone broke into a church in town and completely vandalized the place. Bashed in walls, smashed 80% of the windows, destroyed musical instruments, destroyed furniture....the church estimates it to be in excess of $80,000 in damages. Yesterday they caught the people involved, three 15 year old kids that haven't been identified.

^^ We have a played a big social experiment with these kids by allowing them to have unfettered access to all types of information good and bad.. This is apparently what the repercussions are sometimes on a young mind..

It's not.. But in youth stupid shit like this is funny and glamorized in immature online realities.. Like the brothers that were jumping up on and running across cars at stoplights in Richmond and then posting it online..

Bad parenting imho. This is what happens when kids aren't punished for their actions all the way through childhood, they think they can do what they like with zero repurcussions.

If one of those kids was mine, I would tell them there will be no Christmas, there will be no birthdays, there will be absolutely nothing until your share of damages is paid back to that church.

They may know it's wrong but they also "learned" that there are little or no consequences for their action. Mommy and Daddy will find some excuse for them as usual.
