Local story here....9 year old boy killed himself because he was bullied by his classmates at school because he announced he was gay. Told his mom he wanted to dress like a girl (allegedly, according to the mother) and his mother supported him telling his classmates that he was gay. Really? A kid at 9 years old knows his sexuality? And as an adult you think this is okay to announce to a bunch of 8 to 10 year olds?
And I don't understand this whole obsession with killing oneself that seems to become more and more prevalent. When I was a kid, kids got picked on all the time. I picked on kids, I got picked on,. nobody ever thought about offing themselves because of it. And I find it hard to believe that it's any worse or more brutal than it was in the past. I just don't know.

In the last Presidential primary, there was not really any point since I live in Illinois and Hillary was going to win. Illinois has open ballot selection, but it was my understanding that ballot selection is confidential.
Anyway, I took a D ballot to vote for Bernie Sanders. Didn't matter to me, the old lady is a Bernie person so she was pleased, and I thought it might score me some action.
But apparently, the slimy democrats in this state take the voting data and convert that to phone calls, mailers, and emails. I finally lost my cool at a caller one day, and today I got an email solicitation to fund D candidates.
Fuck off, I am not helping to elect more socialists in this bankrupt corrupt state.
