At least the GOP held the senate, in fact even had a net gain of a couple of seats. That's the most important chamber to hold. But all the democrats in the house are already talking about holding investigations and issuing subpoenas and basically trying to prosecute republicans and the Trump administration. What a fucking cluster fuck.

It's almost as if you invited a bunch of young liberal potheads to come to your state.When I first moved here, Colorado was a red state. Not a solid red state, but more red than blue. Now it's become the DPRC (Democratic People's Republic of Colorado). Democrats swept almost every race that was up yesterday. The socialist governor (free - publicly funded - preschool and kindergarten for everyone, single payer healthcare in the state, more unchecked money for schools, etc ad nauseum) has both chambers of the Colorado legislature on his side as there's now a democrat majority in both houses. FFS the voters couldn't even get the Attorney General race last night. A liberal democrat professor from CU Boulder who's never prosecuted a case in his life and is in favor of sanctuary cities beat a former prosecutor who had the endorsement of almost every law enforcement agency in the state.

My wife worked all day at one of the polling precincts yesterday. She said at least half of the people that showed up to vote in person all "looked like they were 12 years old" so I'm guessing that's why we ended up going socialist last night.

This is just a playful conjecture, but if I was representing the left and you the right - how would you feel about trading those things above ( not unchecked but increased) for meaningful illegal vetting within the country (not too crazy but certainly eject the trouble makers) combined with support for solid border protection ( federal funding) and legislative limits to the PC erosion at schools of traditional holidays and American values (e.g. people don't have to celebrate Christmas, but the majority are allowed to guilt free)??The socialist governor (free - publicly funded - preschool and kindergarten for everyone, single payer healthcare in the state, more unchecked money for schools, etc ad nauseum)
