Ever since watching Free Solo I've been watching climbing and mountaineering docs non-stop. I feel like I have an itch to do it but don't know where to start. My grip strength is shite.

It's hard to do. The regular gym isn't a good place to do it... these guys who've done it since age 8 are just natural. They're not particularly jacked usually but they can pull themselves up with two fingers. It's insane..

I have rings that I use about once a week. It's not enough. Used to chop a lot of wood, but no more....

i suck at climbing but have been going with my 15 year old for about 2 years now at an indoor climbing wall. he's at least pretty decent

This cracks me up. I am the last person to cry racism, but c'mon man.

My neighbor downstairs is "Rodriguez". Two floors above her is a neighbor named "Mendez". The FedEx person attempts a delivery. The girl downstairs has trouble keeping her name on her mailbox (for whatever reason) and it's gone again. Instead of looking at the other names and ringing the bell for the one that doesn't say "Rodriguez", the driver rang the bell and left an undeliverable note for the other Latino name. Seriously? Your assumption was that it must be the one with the Latino name? What, because they all live together? Wow.

I moved the notice to the correct box, but she was home at the time of the delivery attempt. She is very nice, but has a temper. That will piss her off.

This is just a playful conjecture, but if I was representing the left and you the right - how would you feel about trading those things above ( not unchecked but increased) for meaningful illegal vetting within the country (not too crazy but certainly eject the trouble makers) combined with support for solid border protection ( federal funding) and legislative limits to the PC erosion at schools of traditional holidays and American values (e.g. people don't have to celebrate Christmas, but the majority are allowed to guilt free)??

Sure, there has to be give and take to successfully run a government, but where's all this money magically going to come from to pay for all that?
