Follow-up. Everyone thought it was a very cool idea (at least to our faces) and all the cards have been redeemed. We gave 5 as gifts and used another 5 as prizes at my family's Christmas. I wrote out trivia questions in 5 categories. It was fun.
The site sends you an email telling you when each one is redeemed, what charity they selected, and any thank-you note they entered. The site also has management reporting to view redemption dates and charity selections. Very slick, very easy to use on both ends. We certainly recommend it if you want to do something similar.
In all the 10 charity gift cards resulting in funds for 13 different charities (they can select up to 3 per voucher).

If you have a android phone, you can set it to ignore suspected spam calls. They won't ring through. That setting helped me quite a bit. Mine got really bad also.

There's a humorous post on Imgur about a train simulator pc game being on sale.
It's reasonably priced as a game, but comes with so many DLC's (content additions) that the end price can total 3600 bucks.
