Damn, I can tell that I rarely drink anymore There's a local taproom/brewpub about 2 minutes from my house. They were having a dog adoption event yesterday and the wife wanted to go see the puppies. So we went (first time there even though it's been open for awhile), it's small but kinda cool, and all they sell are their own brews. I tried one of their ales (it was pretty dark for an ale, I thought ales were lighter beers?):



And just that one beer had me start feeling a buzz. Good thing though because it's pricey to drink there, but it was good beer, I'd like to go back and try some of their others. But we got there as soon as it opened (3 PM) yesterday and by the time we had checked out the dogs and had our beers, it had really started to fill up and the clientele looked like the hipster/douchey types.

And on a side note, when the fuck is the love fest going to end with IPA's and who can make the hop-piest fucking beer? God I hate it so much and all everyone tries to do is outdo each other with making it worse and worse. Overly hop-py beer is awful. That taproom had 25% of it's taps taken up by IPA's.

It has gotten out of hand, but I generally do go for them when I am looking for a beer other than an el-cheapo to drink.. At this point though when people say "Have you tried such and such" Im like "whats the point? There are thousands of beers at this point that I'm sure are good"..
