I used to work at a theater back in the day. I was 14 so that may give you an idea of the time.
We used to make popcorn in the big square machine and it was foolproof. Scoop of popcorn kernels and a scoop of radioactive orange salt stuff
In the
butter machines we used to put blocks of this lardy looking stuff that really looked and tasted like butter after being heated. When we asked our manager exactly what it was, he only smiled
So imagine...you're a young kid with the keys to the candy store, literally. We used to make these batches of popcorn with triple the salt and then douse it in that butter-like shit.
You needed a shower after eating it. And a blood pressure cuff
I rarely eat popcorn now.
