Work is so weird right now. I think they're restructuring for the sake of restructuring. It appears I'm being drafted by this crazy British VP over to his marketing team from sales into some weird hybrid role. It's a management role which sounds great, but I won't have anyone working for me at first, and it's not really up to me anyways. No usual posting/application process, they're just doing it. And they haven't hired whoever it is that I'll end up reporting to because they fired the last guy, so instead of reporting to my awesome boss, I'll be reporting to ???

I know I should be excited but I'm just confused

Art version of a copyright free image. The legal theory is that any depiction of a copyrighted symbol is covered. So if someone has a Cubs themed wedding, can the photographer sell the photos to the wedding party?

I don't know if you want to fight it or not. Did the threat come from the Cubs or from MLB itself? All sports logos are trademarked and copyrighted, even if that image was not. And I would guess that unless whoever originally took that photo got expressed written consent from MLB, then it's in violation as well. Especially once it was posted online.

That has to do with getting a tattoo of a sports team logo, so it's not the same but kinda similar. Am interesting read on the subject.

Yeah and without knowing the law, that's a direct shot of the logo and I assume RBP wants to list the image for money.

eg I purchased an Oilers home jersey years ago. If I took a picture of the team logo on the shirt, then sold that image for profit, I can see where the panties are getting bunched.

I don't agree with the stance but I can understand it.
