I looked to see if the battery could be replaced on an S8 and it can, but holy fuck what a pain in the ass it would be. Worst "advancement" Samsung ever did with their phones is make it so that you can't open them and easily replace the battery like you used to be able to do. Of course this was for planned obsolescence so you would have to get a new device when your battery finally kicks the bucket. Not a very user friendly thing to do. But maybe with the sales of smartphones slowing down, they will see there would be a market for new batteries and they will go back to being able to open the phones up so you can swap batteries.

The current batteries I have will last, and there are 3rd party replacement batteries available but they don't have very good reviews. I was kind of hoping somebody would step up and make a decent replacement battery.
