I got rid of all mine about 8 or 9 years ago before the bottom fell out of the used CD market. Had about 1200 of them and got around $750 at the time of I remember right.
I actually can't believe they still sell them. I can't remember the last time I played an actual CD.
I did the same probably around the same time - listed them as a job-lot on ebay, can't remember what they sold for tbh. I'd just gotten to the point where i never used them anymore, all of my music was stored on my computer/phone/mp3 player so they were just gathering dust in a huge stand my joiner mate built for me. I still have some vinyl in storage but don't actually own a record player now
It kinda sucks in a way when you think about it.
