I saw a sad post on Imgur from a person who worked at the Texas mall. They started work in the morning, clocked in and instantly took cover. The post had a bunch of pics from the parking lot as the situation was developing in real time and the person didn't know the scope of it until later that day.

Not trying to troll, but why is the mall thing a debate? Looks like the Walmart was part of a larger mall park/strip mall. The main mall itself does look to be a good 500 feet away but I'm sure it was on lock-down too?

It's me being particular and expecting news reporting to to be precise, but instead they are lazy. They were showing shots on the news of an indoor mega-mall with a Macy's anchor - even people walking in the mall that showed 2 stories - it had no relevance to the story. The mall with the Macy's is 8 miles away. The shooter did not "enter a mall" and begin firing - he entered a WalMart. The entire incident was in one stand-alone store.

The person Hal mentioned did not work "at a mall" - he worked at a WalMart.

It is no fault of people here. It's the news media being inaccurate imbeciles.
