Arizona housing must be cheap eh? I've looked at renting on VRBO there a few times for golf trips and you can get damn nice 3-4 bedroom houses with pools in the Spring or Fall when it's not too hot for a couple hundred a night or less. Comes out really cheap split 5-6 ways. Flights there are affordable too.

I've been to Scottsdale with my Dad a few times. You can play a round of golf with a cart on a decent track for well under $50 which is a friggin' steal compared to here.

Hell no. I've been to Vegas in 40+ heat and it was disgusting. If I had stupid money though I might own a house somewhere in AZ for the Spring/Fall when it rains too much here. Nice short flight down, you can shoot guns, and every golf course down there seems to be right beside a shopping mall. Drop the wives off, go play a round. It'd be perfect

We visited Scottsdale when i was a kid....... i pretty much spent the entire time in the pool

There was a mad rush 20 or so years ago where everyone moved to that area. More recently (10 years?) has been the mad rush to around Lance's area. It's like the mass migration of 20 something YO liberals looking for paradise.

Yep, Move out there in droves, then elect people to change everything that attracted them in the first place. End result the taxes skyrocket and home values that tripled in value start to slip. Those that were supporting the economy decide to flee while they can which starts a cascade of homes going on the market, loss of tax revenue that was already at deficit levels due to the "everyone deserves free stuff" policies and the whole system crashes.
