As long as I've been down here, you'd figure I'd know how to handle these situations but every year when something's knocking on the door, I'm always unprepared and scrambling for the things I need. I need to change that. I think when this is over, I'm gonna start taking care of all of that.

Not trying to make a joke here. For DGX's situation wouldn't it make sense to have an inflatable raft? If the water level climbs during a storm I couldn't imagine how serious flooding would affect him.
I guess with hurricanes it's flying debris, water and electricity outages that are the main worries
Person would need a few gallons of water and some easy to eat food.
A raft might be a good idea if you are near enough to the coast where major flooding could be an issue.

I saw a news piece last night that said some people who live in New Orleans/Florida don't prepare for storms. They don't even have storm shutters and the windows are the first thing to go.
Man those states down there are small. You could fit eight of them into my province
