Just saw a story on the local news. The coldest spot in the lower 48 this morning was Antero Reservoir, Colorado. It got down to - 44° (-42C)

Some asshat in my state's Senate prefiled a massive gun control bill that outlaws all semi-autos and magazines over 10 rounds. I'll be calling my state senator after Christmas.

That is insane... I almost want to experience that just once.
My Dad had a posting way up north in Canada with the bank for a year in his 20's and it got down to -40 once (the record in this town on Wiki is -51C). He said you'd spit and it was frozen by the time it hit the ground.
Wow, try sharing any of those Reddit photos here. Site's on lockdown...
Ya it stinks, can't share their shit here or on Discord, and people use imgur less and less I notice. I see lots of funny pics and gifs I'd share here but I'm too lazy to save and convert to imgur. Someone needs to build a quick convert plugin. I'm nowhere near smart enough for that though.

It's definitely something to experience I've experienced the low -30°'s multiple times growing up in Vermont. I think we got down to about -40° (give or take) a few times. Try taking a deep breath in that kind of temperature and it will literally take you breath away. When I was working 3rd shift, we'd have to go out and start our cars at lunch time to make sure they were't frozen when it was that cold.
Had to look it up after thinking about cold weather...the record for the coldest natural temperature ever recorded on earth was -128.6° (-89.2C) in Antarctica. Now that's down right chilly.
Record coldest for Colorado is -61° (-52C) and the record for B.C. is -74° (-58.9C).

All of Ohio:
Hottest temperature ever recorded: 113 F, Gallipolis, southern Ohio, 7/21/1934.
Coldest temperature ever recorded: -39 F, Milligan, southeastern Ohio, 2/10/1899.
Northeast Ohio:
On Jan. 19, 1994 Cleveland's thermometer dropped to -20 degrees. (That wasn't the "feels like" or wind chill temperature, it was the actual temperature.)
It was the coldest day on record in The Land.
The brutal cold spell we endured lasted 56 hours with temperatures of zero or below. The Akron-Canton area got down to -25 degrees.
That same morning, National Weather Service cooperative observers reported even colder temperatures including -29 degrees in Mantua, -32 degrees in Burton and -36 degrees at Possum Run Road near Mansfield.

Wow...there are a LOT of retarded people in this country. There are many liberals out there that think because of the House voting to impeach the President, that Trump is being removed from office today.
They REALLY need to teach civics class in school.

So my heat wont kick on downstairs. Looked at the furnace last night and looks like I need a new igniter seeing how its a gas furnace, got one ordered be here tomorrow. Upstairs unit still works fine so I have it running at 72 and its keeping the downstairs around 65 with the fireplace going. So put the kids to bed last night and apparently my daughter was hot. So she got up and moved the thermostat to cool about an hour after going to bed, it was 52 in the house this morning.
Then like I've said before, you should have to pass a simple 10 question civics test before you are allowed to vote, and if you can't get 8/10, then no voting allowed. Orange Man Bad because that's what social media tells you can't be your reason to vote.
What's wrong with that? Before I was living with my now wife, in the middle of winter I would sleep with the window open and a fan on in my bedroom
