My main laptop is. But it took me a lot of tweaking to get it to look/feel like windows7. I HATE the default tiles screen.

I never even start the set-up that way, I set it up like the regular desktop style. I hate the way Win8 looked.

This thing really sped up when 10 was installed. Our IT guy says its much better than 7.

I think it's definitely better than 7 was, and 7 was damn good.

My Dell Inspiron 15 laptop has been fucking up lately so I did a serious inventory of everything installed and guess what I found was messing up the computer? The Dell installed software. Windows was fine. Everything Microsoft had on here was fine. All the 3rd party junk I use on here is fine. It was all of Dell's bundled shit that was fucking everything up.

My wife imploded her girl's group chat in the most harmless way today. I'm rubbing her back and saying it's all okay, but also finding it hilarious.

I'll try and keep this short because ultimately it's just girl drama - but I also think it's a sign-of-the-times story, so here goes:

So one of our mutual friends in this group chat was at a First Nation's pipeline protest today, blocking a bridge, and posting about it in their group chat. My wife just got off a 36 hour shift and simply texted: 'I'm for it! I just hope they let ambulances through, they're blocking the only hospital with a stroke center.' My wife normally stays out of all politics, she's super non-confrontational, so she couldn't have predicted this fallout. Her friend responded with some wild twitter post about white genocide of Natives, and then left the group chat This bitch has been our friend for 15+ years, she came to our wedding... and that little comment about ambulances kills it. Unbelievable. Talk about being fucking fragile.

It really does, it bums me out. There's almost nothing any of my guy friends could say about politics or social issues where I'd just shut them out, or even take offense honestly. You trust your friends to respect you if you disagree, and vice versa. Kinda sad, and way too easy to do over text message.... I suggested they pick up the phone - out of the question
