Ok, that Amazon order that I was refunded for... it never made it to UPS. I talked to them because it bugged me that their site is showing as haven't received the package and they told me on the phone that they never received it. So somebody at the Amazon warehouse that it was supposedly being shipped from fucked up.

Our governor has just banned any and all gatherings of more than 250 people.
My boss is director of our region, just warned me to get anything from the office I need because they're going to send everyone to work at home shortly.
We've got a very pro-active business continuity program that's been practicing for this kind of thing for years, but I'm shocked at how many of our staff are not prepared to work from home despite being given so many opportunities to speak up. Many of us have work laptops, but those who don't can log-in to their systems remotely and have been asked REPEATEDLY to test it.... and yet I have at least three coworkers who claim they don't have functioning home computers or laptops (two said their kids keep breaking them!?). So our poor one IT person is scrambling to restore old laptops from storage for them all before we get sent home. What if we had a fire or earthquake and there was no warning? Fucking idiots.
