He still has overhead that he has to cover. Rent on the facility, utilities, he's got money in the food and alcohol that he's not gonna sell...

I'm sure there's an insurance policy that has to be paid.

You know, as serious as the virus pandemic was last week, I wasn't overly concerned about myself so much. I was doing things by reducing the amount of times I would physically go to the store and small things like that. But now with basically EVERYTHING shutting down and morons hoarding everything that's essential, I'm actually getting a little worried about some things.

And, the wife found out that her mandatory furlough from work may extend beyond just this week. And they haven't said whether they are going to pay the employees beyond just the first week yet either.

Yea, I have concerns too. For one, because I'm gone 4 days a week, I don't have more than a few days worth of food back home and a few days worth here at work. IF things stay as they are currently, I will be fine.

So far my job is secure, so money isn't an issue, but I'm definitely thinking about preparing for a lockdown. Biggest issue is where? At home I'm in the city with no income, here at work I have access to plenty of essentials and the general store is pretty well stocked and am pretty well isolated as the boats just started last week so there is probably only a couple hundred people here and most are pretty well stocked from being here all winter with limited access to and from.... My place on the other island still doesn't have ferry access and my water won't be turned on for a few weeks.

I pulled a D ballot yesterday. Got to vote for Andrew Yang.

And against all the useless D incumbents.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.

Do you have an open primary in Illinois? I'm a registered (R) in Colorado, so I only got the (R) primary ballot. The wife is a registered (I) so she got both ballots, but she could only submit one.

The US and Canada have jointly announced that they are closing the border.

Okay Walmart, you went from being open 24 hours to being open from 6am to 11pm. I get it, cleaning and all. But you're still letting people buy alcohol until 11:45pm? So you're not kicking out the drinkers?

I take it personally that I was stricken with a stomach virus in the middle of toilet paper hording.

As my old man once said, "I'm not going to pray for you. God don't like you. You don't go to church."
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.
