It was my mistake. I had my left leg up on my knee and it fell down when I was reaching for something up on the sink. When the leg fell down, it caught the bend and the force of the hit broke one of the PVC screw collars. The pipe just fell off. Water everywhere. I wiped it up and have been sitting there ever since with a hair dryer blowing around the edges of the tiles where water could have gotten to to try to ensure it gets dry.

Ugg, that sucks, I'm sorry bud. I've had more days like that than I care to admit.

Ok, so I bought a $4 PVC p-trap out at Lowes. Only one of the nuts on the original trap arm was busted. Everything else was fine. So all I had to do was find a replacement nut, but I couldn't find any by themselves, so I grabbed the p-trap cause it looked like it had the same size nuts on it. I came home, removed the trap arm and replaced the washer and nut, reinstalled the trap arm on the marvel connector, and reinstalled the old p-trap (cause the new one was a little too long), tightened everything down, and voila! My sink works again without spewing water all over the place under the sink.

And Lowes was packed like sardines. I was actually scared to go inside. I tried to avoid people as best as I could. If somebody was walking toward me, I tried to go to the other side of the aisle. If I couldn't, then I turned and rolled away. Yay! Paranoia!

I bet people thought I was nuts.
