Shouldn't be too hard, you can definitely spot the pattern to it.

Woo-hoo. I managed to eek out 61hrs last week. This 8hits a day "limitation" sucks. I wonder if I can get any compensation from the fed due to hours being cut? Lord knows I've paid enough in taxes

Isn't 40 hours what everything is based off of?

Lots of people are, it's getting to the point of being ridiculous. And some states are STILL not wanting to even partially open.

I heard on a podcast the other day something that really made me think. Will this whole lock down be worth it? The politicians in favor of strict lock downs like de Blasio and Cuomo in New York always say '...but if it saves just one life it's worth it.' But in reality, this will never stop the spread of the disease, it's the new reality in the world. Did this REALLY save any lives or did it just postpone the inevitable?

I personally agree with the Vader meme you posted.. 'We have flattened the curve, can't we loosen the restrictions some with a new-found knowledge on what is acceptable and what is not at this point in the game'.. If you are true high-risk then stay in lock down. But those statistically outside that window need to get back to working on the machine before it breaks down and starves us all.

I dunno. I only work half the year, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, so cutting my hours to 8/day is over a 50% reduction in pay. I make my living on overtime.

I use to have a schedule like that. Work 8 days and off 6, got my 80 hours in on the 8 days. By the time vacation and holidays were subtracted I only actually worked about 150 days a year.
I didn't get overtime though it was salaried.

I've used Door Dash a few times now and so far I've gotten really good service. Thought I would never use a delivery service like this, but it does come in handy. I do wish it wasn't QUITE so expensive to use. Luckily, I'm in the 30 days of free delivery phase of my account, so I have saved money there, but there is still a small service charge (between $1.50 and $2.00 usually) and they mark up the prices over the menu cost. If you look at the menu on the Door Dash app and then look at the menu on the restaurant website/app, you can see that it's a little more expensive through Door Dash, and I'm sure Door Dash is taking that money as well and not splitting it with the restaurant.

Now the convenience is nice, I can order lunch if I want right from my desk and have it delivered to the shop, and that convenience is definitely worth something (my time being off the clock at work, the gas used to drive over and pick it up, etc), but it still seems too expensive to use more than occasionally.

Our locals are begging us not to use the delivery services and to do curbside pick-up because they don't see up to 50% of the money for that order when its said and done.

Oh no! We've been training for this for years. One boy identifies as female and ALL the girls have to adapt to him in the locker room. Because he has the "right" to.
So because a small percentage of the population is susceptible to serious complications the rest of us need to stay locked down. /sarcasm

There is a link right on this restaurant's website that is specifically for delivery and it goes to DoorDash. Plus, DoorDash has cut their fees to restaurants by 50% until the end of May.
