UPS, I'm sick of you people, and I'm sick of hearing that bullshit automated coronavirus excuse whenever I call to complain about you people fucking up my delivery.

I had to order some special material for a job here at work. It should have been here early last week (like on Monday) and I realized on Thursday that it wasn't here yet. Tracked it and it said it arrived at the Denver UPS hub on Monday and there was not delivery date information available. Got hold of the shipper for them to follow up on it. I guess because of the Wu Flu, UPS has no live agents you can talk to, so all they could find was the same thing we saw, that it was here in Denver and it had been there for 4 days with no other info available. So, my boss went down to the UPS hub and asked where the hell our package one. They said it wasn't in Denver, it was still in North Carolina. He showed them the tracking info showing it was in Denver. They said it was still in North Carolina and there is nothing they can do. So, obviously UPS lost the package somewhere.
Had to get hold of the shipper and re-order the material, and now we've lost at least a week because of the whole mess.

I bought myself a birthday present. A Blu-Ray set of the Justified series. Not a big deal, except this isn't the first time. This is the 5th frickin' time this year alone that they've "lost" my order. The package was shipped 2-day air from Maryland. It was scanned as arrived in Brunswick Thursday morning. There was a Destination scan a few hours after the Arrival Scan. Now the UPS site says it's In Transit. So it's either in Brunswick laying around where everybody's ignoring it or somebody working there stole it. I know where the distribution center is, but I can't get a phone number to tell them to look for it. I used to know a guy that worked up there about a decade ago, but he's flown the coop (don't blame him really). There's no number I can call, all numbers given are the 888 number. I don't want to go up there, because if I do, I'll unload on them and probably get arrested. But I have to scream at someone. I've had enough of this bullshit. No one company can fuck shit up like this this often. Again, it's a small thing, but it's the principle of the matter.

Yup, UPS, the Post Office, FedEx....no local numbers or e-mail addresses to get hold of them. All you get is the 800 number. And even if there is a local number that you happen to stumble upon and you think you found the Holy Grail, it just routes you to the 800 number when you call it.
I'm not really this upset. I'm just over here shaking my head.

Why will Home Depot ship me pesticide but Lowe's won't? But Lowe's had no problem shipping herbicide before.
Well, I found a way to email UPS. It's too bad their email form only gave me 500 characters to tell them how much they suck. I doubt I'll get a response.

First eye surgery tomorrow. Artificial lens in the right eye.
A cookie to the first person smart enough to guess how many lens replacements I'm having done.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.
Uh, keep your cookies.

When I was diagnosed with cataracts my left eye had deteriorated to the same as looking through an opaque window.
After much research I decided that RESTOR lenses were what I wanted. Out of pocket sucked but I deemed it worth it.
3 years later I would not change a thing. My right eye could have gone several years but with the progressive lens I chose both had to be done so that my brain could adapt to the change.
