Aaaand the lady who started this debate quit the volunteer committee today. Fucking coward. Now I'll have to be the one to tell the group she quit at our next meeting? Ugh.

Way to make a regular debate an ever bigger shit show. People get in one minor disagreement and go nuclear with everything.

I feel like stepping down too. I don't need this shit smear on my career over a volunteer position that I do for the good of the industry. I'm just trying to organize interesting seminars to get people their mandatory education hours

Got called in to work a day early. Heading to Houston in the am. Will be working out of our tech center for a while. We're super short handed right now. Had an Electrical foreman in the Louisiana division quit over the company's Covid Vax/test policies. Got another tech thats out for atleast a few months for shoulder surgery. Rumor is he's not coming back as he's partnered with the former Forman in a 3rd party company. Got another tech that's on long term disability for stg 4 Cancer. That leaves 2 former, and 6 techs for the entire US fleet. Can't believe Can't hire some help.

I just asked for a $5hr raise. $2 of that would get me back to where I started 8 years ago. I've gotten two smal cola raises, but fuck all after that. Damned office punks got their bonuses last year. We even had the $ to hire 8 corporate PC enforcers. Can't give the guys in the field a raise though..
