Ok, so Walmart removed the option to refill prescriptions from the app, which was the only reason I had the app installed to begin with. So I guess I don't need the Walmart app anymore.

We have lost about 70% of our summer staff (international kids that went home and domestic that went back to school) So we've been struggling a bit to finish off the season. Now today they just cancelled all ferry trips to the island. That means that 60% of our remaining staff won't make it to work today and it's gonna be a shit show with guests that are supposed to check out and guests that were supposed to check in.

Our property manager is on vacation, the housekeeping manager, assistant manager, 5 housekeepers, one general staff and two grounds crew won't make it over today. This leaves me with 5 staff (3 foreign kids) for 100-ish properties for the day.

And it's blowing at 30mph with 45mph gusts and moderate to heavy rain all day. This should be fun.

Nope, They shut off my water in the winter and there's only 30 full timers there, I'd go nuts. I could stay on the island where I work, just have to not winterize one of the houses and work solo all winter....
.... I choose not to.

So pretty much I spend a little time with my folks in Cleveland, then head to S Carolina and hang out with my aunt. Might make a trip down to Ft Myers for a couple weeks, that's where many from up here are congregating these days. Other than that I'm on the islands full time for 9 months.

Man, shit like this makes me wonder how the hell my company is (barely)staying afloat.

They brought me out of my West Texas rotation where I'm badly needed, to work East and South Texas because of the shortage of manpower. Now I find out there's 1for sure, an additional 2 probable major projects due by the end of the year. Each of which would normally take 3-4 weeks. I think I'm gonna have to put my foot down on the raise I asked for. Might be unemployed soon.
