Work is such a shitshow, my brain is going to pop.

We launched a brand new system for our business clients.... 10,000 users across the country, all accessing our new system via integration into their systems, which can be any one of half a dozen software vendors that we don't own or manage ourselves.

We've been sending communications to get them prepared for months, but nobody reads their emails or pays attention in meetings, so this entire week is me trouble-shooting one of 10 different issues that could be causing integration issues (all issues that we spoke to them about well beforehand). We hosted 30 online training sessions over a month and one day after they wrap up, I'm getting calls going "I missed training, what now."

I'm not in IT but it feels like it right now Thankfully I have some software know-how and can help troubleshoot without opening tickets to IT usually, but this is still actual chaos.

I've called them maybe twice in 9 years at my company and they're complete assholes, at least until you've demonstrated you tried to work the problem yourself and they see it's a real issue, not user error. I should've had more empathy for them all these years.

My sister stayed the night and brought her 13 year old Black Lab-Chow mix with her. Sweet dog, but he's built like a tank, and he's got serious separation anxiety issues. If she goes in the bathroom, he starts running around looking for her, whining. She was loading up her car, getting ready to leave, and every time she took a load out to the car, he'd sit by the door, whining like a little puppy and barking. The line above is my interpretation of his barks. He's a 13 year old fat ass whiny bitch.

Mask mandate went into effect in my county this past Wednesday morning (and actually it's in effect for, I believe, all the counties in Denver metro now. Stopped at the store on the way home and ignored it, and stopped at several different stores over the course of the 4 day weekend and ignored it. No one ever said anything and it varied from about 50% to 75% (depending on the store) as to how many people were actually wearing a mask. It's good to see that a portion of people are absolutely over it.

I did get the side eye from the virtue signalers when I was in the store, but other than that, no one said a thing.
