You'd get the text from Amazon with a note from me saying "Lowes was all sold out of physical Amazon gift cards. Enjoy this one that was sent directly from Amazon's e-services".

My favorite uncle always emails us amazon GC's on Christmas morning. It's really sweet, I keep telling him we're grown adults now this really isn't necessary but he keeps doing it.

I guess they both can call me their favorite uncle, since I'm the only uncle they've got. No competition. My sister has to worry, since they have two other aunts on their mother's side of the family.

I've resolved to cut them both off at 25.

That's really sweet. My uncle is in his 70's, retired and never had a family so he just loves spoiling his nieces and nephews. I wish he'd just spend that money on himself but I know he enjoys doing it.
