Even though the script on my glasses has changed in the last 4 years, my old pair has still been fine. I really only need them to read small print and to better focus when reading. Staring at drawings and paperwork at work all day, I definitely need them for that. So I go through, find a pair of frames I like and she goes through all the "add ons" (polycarb lens material, blue light blocking coating, anti-scratch, etc.) and even after what my insurance covers, it was still $517 for the new pair (it would have been just under $1000 without insurance). Ridiculous how much shit costs now. The biggest cost was actually the polycarb lenses, that was $475 (pre-insurance) all by itself.
Order online.... eyebuydirect.com is one I have used. Literally 80% cheaper.

How do you get the lines properly set in a progressive lense like that?

Exactly, I need to have the glasses measured when I order them. Plus, most online places don't take insurance from my experiences.

I use Zenni.com. Cheap good quality glasses. Since my Bro in law is in the field he usually does all the measurements for me.

I have used Zenni, but they come straight from a Chinese factory.

It wasn't a true private fitting unless you were naked AND strapped down.
