Wife texted me this morning that Thor was in distress and I needed to get home ASAP. She was able to get him to the vet herself and I got a text from her while I was on my way home, Thor's stomach had flipped, from what we don't know, but there wasn't anything the vet could do. We could roll the dice and try emergency surgery or we could put him to sleep. With his age and his other health issues, we made the hard decision to say goodbye. We didn't want to put Thor thorough anymore. So we lost Thor today and I'm heartbroken. It's been the shittiest of shitty days.

Thanks everyone, still just kinda numb. It was hard losing Thor because it just happened so suddenly. We were really broken up losing Pepper earlier this year, but at least with her, we knew it was coming and we were able to prepare ourselves for it. Not that it makes it any easier, but at least we knew it was coming. With Thor, it happened so quickly, it was barely 2 hours between when the wife texted me that there was a problem with Thor and when it was all over and he had passed. He was such a good boy and I miss him so much already.

We just got a reverse 911 call from the local PD, there's a suspect on the loose in the area that should be considered armed and dangerous and also has military training.

Came off my bike this afternoon, downhill gravel section. Both hands, left side of body took a nice slide.

Showered for half an hour while I scrubbed out the gravel with a toothbrush. No painkillers, so it's going to be an interesting night

I just bought a new-ish wifi card (that has support for linux). I'm sick of having to hunt down user created linux drivers that may or may not work for my unsupported card. I'm trying out Manjaro on the monster rig. The drivers didn't work.

Well, apparently, I didn't need the newer-ish wifi card, since I got the old card working like 10 minutes before the newer-ish one was delivered. Maybe I'll hang on to the newer-ish one for a future build.
