How did you fare on your taxes?

Kinda screwed TBH

I claim 0 exemptions, so because of the amount of OT I work over the course of the year, I have a LOT of taxes withheld from my pay. Last year, just in federal taxes alone, I had just a tick over $15K withheld. Meanwhile, the wife had been claiming 2 exemptions, which was fine when we were able to claim the kid as a dependent, but this is the first year that we couldn't claim her, so she was still barely having any federal tax withheld from her pay. So after having all those taxes withheld from my pay, we got a whopping $70 refund from the feds when it was usually in the $3000 give or take range when we could claim the kid.

That's the result of one of the previous hurricanes a few years back. The sellers are lucky the house is still standing at all. But the land used to be higher. Jax news has been watching this house for the past several years since it was amazing that it withstood the onslaught of the hurricane that destroyed everything around it.
