Was watching some Doug Stanhope standups last night, that dude is funny.

Kinda sobering when he got to the part about his mom's suicide and he's like no no this is a great story (She was terminally ill)

mainly because it hit me that my mom will do that one day when she's too beat up to continue and would sooner do that than make one of us kids care for her if she were incapacitated enough

    yea we got smashed saturday
but as we find out, the VT team is run by a tourney director up there and he hand picked a team, they expect to go undefeated and go up a tier each year until they're at A pool in 5 years

me, I just went and ordered more plastic, just so I can throw pretty much the same shot almost all the time and rely on disc physics to determine where it ends up.

well now I'm going to play after work, so....shit I have to hope my clothes dry soon

beautiful day saturday though, played half the time in a tank top

    Wished I had yesterday's round for my sat singles round, birded 2, 4, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, shoulda had 3, 8 & 14 too but I bitched on the putts

45 is still t-shirt weather after a couple holes

Looks like maybe some snow sunday into monday here...well I get to do the stang clutch again today, then its time to make enough room in the garage to move the hoist and engine stand around a bit. I suppose its possible to have the swap done by Sunday but its just folly to try and plan this stuff out and think I'll have X done by Y time

Ha, there seems to be one person doing the posting for 10 people.

I feel remiss because you share so well. I'll share a little then. I'm now in Germany and having a bit of a stint until the new year. I provide counselling in English for foreign workers whose second language is mostly English. My German is a distance second language and German is usually their distant third. So we're a great match and I guess that's why I get this gig. It is in car production Zentral for Germany and there's lots of demand for English speaking councillors esp. psychologists so it pays very well. So that's that ( the boring bit).

However the best part is I'm blessed being able to stay with a community of friends in a nearby town. I can catch the train in but I've been enjoying the cycling commutes and trying to continue into the cold and now snowy weather. it's a bit of a blast actually and I'm learning about cold hands and cold feet and cold face. Unusual for an Australian

lol, so is this a matter of its truly a quiet time for people, or are people avoiding posting because I'm here? I hope its not the latter. That's honestly one thing I like about the chans is that there's no baggage carry-over from one thread to the next, each post pretty much has to stand of its own merit so there's no possibility to be already ready to fire off at a given person because of something he said in another thread. Its a fine balance other places trying to discuss serious potentially life altering events happening on a global scale especially when it winds up sorta overshadowing the main reason you're there to begin with. It'd probably be a bit provocative if I posted the Life Is All About Balance - 50% Namaste 50% Fuck Off meme with the orange robe monk flipping someone off I'd much rather things be like ok we disagreed a bit in the past and many of us said things that perhaps went a bit too far, but I'm a guy who forgives and forgets and believes in redemption.

Just because my mind always thinks of funny associations

Nothing new in my world. Been stuck in a rut. Haven't picked up a guitar in almost a year. Been putting off needed home repairs. Overall just blah.

Ya just crazy shit at work right now with the new job. The office is a mess, both in terms of culture and physically being ignored for two years by the prior moron who managed this place. Gotta go to toronto for the 17th time of the year next week. Is all the radiation from flying 75,000 miles good for me?

lol, my buddy working on his car, radiator
doesnt want to do it the way recommended by the videos
I can do it more directly, without having to take all this shit apart
proceeds to spend 10x the amount of time trying to do it the quicker way

that's why I dont want to own japanese cars, they are a pain in the ass
dont want a vehicle from this century

    All good. Didn't say that.

But agree this isn't the place for anything too extreme. Maybe see what people respond to and post more of that, and less of what people tend to ignore.

Where you run into trouble in the past is where you tend to do the opposite of that.

Tough place to be. Mind you I haven't played the piano for over a year

Do you know why you stopped? Maybe if we solve that I'll know why I stopped as well
