I was looking this after reading comments about the racist remarks from the rancher. People screaming "more whites are on welfare!!"

Whites on welfare: 4,966,400 (2.63% of adults)
Blacks on welfare: 5,094,400 (16.03% of adults)

Also, 36 states where welfare pays more than an $8 an hour job, and you can still make $1000 a month with no benefit reduction??? Figuring the $1000 in, that's $13.77 an hour.
