Police: Naked pedestrian wanted to conquer his fears

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Police say a man caught streaking in a north Boise neighborhood wanted to conquer his fear of being naked in public.

Jail records show 19-year-old Jonathan Palmer was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of public nudity late Thursday and has since been released.

Police say dispatchers received several calls from witnesses who said a naked man was walking down the street.

Police Lt. Kent Lipple says Palmer was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and was cooperative during his arrested, telling officers that he only wanted to conquer his fears and help the public understand "it's OK to see a naked man walk down the road."
