It really is, and the way he describes the new trans diagnoses and treatment trend makes me think of (in a way) the gay conversion camps they would send kids off to.

One thing I always didn't understand is if a child has certain tendencies that werent natural to their born gender. Why would you give them drugs to push them more into an abnormality versus drugs that helped them feel more normal with their born gender..

Because they are actively and aggressively lobbying for transgender to see as normal as binary. Your post would be considered horribly bigoted and transphobic.

It's the "born this way" argument, which is a trash generalization that also plays in the gay lobby. Any honest gay person will tell you that some are born gay and some choose to be gay, or whatever iteration of the sexuality spectrum you wish to be. And the kids are pretty much there from what I read. Generally straight guys having suck buddies is as common as what we used to see from generally straight girls who had some female sex partners.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.

I know. But it's an honest question.

All good points.. I do think there are "born this way" people.. That's my only real point in this whole thing we are talking about.

The larger point is that standards are not static. Something okay by western standards in 1950 is not okay today. Something risque my Mideastern standards is not risque in the west. Current activists tend to assume that they have the moral high ground, but I am not sure why. So if we are to be cultural sensitive and tolerant, how do we pick what to be outraged about? If the answer is "hate has no home here", that is judging others through a personal lens, is it not?

True, but this can lead to a circular argument where any moral argument is a judgement. We do have strictures on personal freedom. i.e. seatbelts for adults (which could arguably be a personal choice).

On the other hand we (usually) don't like women to parade around with their breasts out in public, though technically it may not be illegal

Hey RBP I was going to DM you this but want everyone to have chance to watch. It's long but give it 6.5 minutes and then decide if you want to give it a full hour of your time.
